What we do
Six kinds of work from a handyman in Spring Hill, FL, all on one written price
Make the list as long as you like. We quote the whole thing and schedule a start date, so you are not lining up a different person for every item on it.

Interior Painting
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and kitchen cabinets. We also remove wallpaper and repair drywall. All repaired areas are properly primed before painting, and we finish every project using high-quality premium paints for a beautiful, lasting finish.

Handyman Repairs
Drywall and ceiling repairs, damaged trim, sticking or damaged doors, screen repairs, caulking, minor wood repairs and those everyday fixes around the house that have been waiting on your to-do list.

Mounting & Installs
TVs, blinds and window treatments, mirrors, artwork, curtain rods and wall-mounted accessories — securely installed and finished with attention to detail.

Backsplashes, Showers & Tile Repair
Backsplashes, shower walls, tub surrounds and tile floors. We also replace cracked or damaged tiles, repair grout and handle other tile repairs. For new installations, surfaces are properly prepared and checked before the first tile is set — helping ensure a quality, long-lasting finish.

Complete Bathroom & Kitchen Transformations
From simple updates to complete transformations: vanities, cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, fixtures and more. Upgrade your bathroom with modern features like LED mirrors, smart toilets with bidet functions, self-cleaning features and other comfort upgrades. We bring your ideas together to create a space you’ll enjoy for years to come.

Flooring
Tile, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and hardwood flooring. From removing existing flooring and preparing the surface to installation, transitions and trim, we take care of the details for a clean, professional and long-lasting finish.
How it works
A simple process from your first call to the finished project.
From the smallest home repair to a complete transformation, every project receives the same care, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
01
Tell Us About Your Project
Tell us what you’d like done and send a few photos when possible. Whether it’s one repair or a complete room transformation, it all starts with understanding your project and what you have in mind.
02
Receive Your Written Estimate
We’ll review the project and provide a clear, written estimate before the work begins. You’ll know what’s included and what to expect — so there are no surprises.
03
We Schedule & Get It Done Right
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule your project and get to work. We respect your home, pay attention to the details, and never rush quality just to finish faster.
Before & after
Same rooms. Different rooms.
Real jobs Jeff and Milena did themselves, shown the way Jeff likes to show them. Florida ones join the wall as they finish.

Tub surround out, new bath in
Old tub surround out; tile, vanity and fixtures in. The plumbing never moved.

Cabinets, hardware and counters, layout kept
Cabinets painted, new hardware, new counters. Same layout, different room.

Dark cabinets, brought into the light
Doors off, sanded, primed and sprayed; backsplash and counters to match.

A second bathroom, same idea
Tile, glass and fixtures replaced where they stood. Waterproofed before any of it went on.
Reviews
Sixty-three five-star ratings from Jersey Shore homeowners
Before the move south, customers in towns like Lavallette and Point Pleasant rated Jeff and Milena on Google and Angi. Twenty-seven of those reviews sit on Google and thirty-six on Angi. The full set of customer reviews is gathered in one place.
The owners
Married couple, one company, no strangers
A husband-and-wife business, and the only two faces you will see at your door. Jeff and Milena price the job, then the same two of them show up and do it.
On the tools: Jeff Dixon
Co-owner. Before M&J came a quarter-century in the electrical trade, plus eight years in charge of upkeep at four apartment complexes. He prices every job himself, handles the cuts and the fit, and says plainly when part of it belongs to a licensed trade.
Reach him on 888-585-3266 or send the list by email; a reply usually lands that same day.
Quality control: Milena Dixon
Co-owner, and the “M” in M&J. All the painting is hers, from patching and priming to cutting in, and she butters each tile while Jeff sets it. Anything that looks off to her gets redone before you ever see it.
Common questions
Things people ask before they call
Is it worth calling for one small job?
Absolutely—give us a call and tell us what you need. For very small repairs, the distance from our Spring Hill location can determine whether a single item makes sense as a service call.
If you have several little things you’ve been putting off, make a list and send it to us. We can often take care of multiple items in one visit, making the trip more practical and giving you better value for the service call.
How do you price the work?
We price by the job—not by the hour. Every item on your list is evaluated and priced individually, so you know what the work will cost before we begin.
Our experience allows us to work efficiently, and we don’t believe a customer should pay more simply because a job takes someone longer to complete. We price the work based on the job itself, with a price that is fair to both you and M&J.
Send us your list along with a few photos. Many times we can start from there. If we need to see something in person before providing a price, we’ll let you know.
Do you do electrical and plumbing?
For plumbing, M&J can handle many common replacement and maintenance items, such as replacing toilets and faucets and clearing certain clogged toilets or drains. Depending on the specific work and local requirements, some plumbing jobs call for a licensed trade.
If pipes, drains, valves or fixtures need to be relocated, or other licensed work is required, we coordinate with license-holding plumbing professionals we work with.
Electrical work in Florida is more restrictive. Although Jeff has extensive prior electrical experience, wiring that legally requires a license is left to a licensed trade, brought in to work alongside M&J when needed. This allows us to keep your overall project moving while making sure specialized work is handled by the appropriate licensed trade.
What licensing and insurance do you carry?
Our insurance covers the handyman and home-improvement jobs we take on. Florida does not hand out a general handyman license statewide, and we never present ourselves as licensed for electrical or plumbing work.
Anything needing a licensed trade, such as electrical or plumbing work, is handed to licensed people we know and coordinate with. Their part of the job can be documented separately, with their company and license details where applicable.
What happens if you discover a hidden problem during the job?
Some problems simply can’t be seen until the work begins. Just like a mechanic may not know what’s causing a problem until they look under the hood, we can’t always know what’s behind a wall or underneath a floor until it’s opened.
If we discover rotted wood, water damage, mold, an unsafe condition, or another unexpected issue, we stop and show you what we found before proceeding. If you’re not home, we’ll contact you and can provide photos so you can see exactly what we’re seeing.
We’ll explain what needs to be corrected and discuss any additional work and cost with you before moving forward. We won’t cover up a problem just to finish the job—a sound repair starts with making sure what’s underneath is done correctly.
What areas do you serve?
Our regular towns are Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee, Hudson, New Port Richey, Land O’ Lakes, Wesley Chapel and North Tampa, along with the communities between them.
Out in the county seat, the older houses get the same list-and-price approach, laid out under our Brooksville handyman services. Down on the coast it works the same way; see handyman help around New Port Richey.
The usual reach is about an hour’s drive from Spring Hill, though the size and scope of the job shape that.
For larger projects, we’re willing to travel farther. If a project is far enough away to require extended travel or an overnight stay, we’ll discuss those arrangements and any additional travel or lodging costs with you before the project is scheduled.
Not sure if you’re within our service area? Give us a call with your town and the job, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it fits.
